“I would like to take a moment to nominate my wife Katie Parah, she had always wanted to become a nurse and help take care of people that needed help. She takes care of so many people except for herself.” – Lyle Parah

Katie Parah is a Pediatric Nurse at Pediatric Medicine in South Burlington. After becoming the caregiver for her father who has Multiple Sclerosis Katie decided to pursue nursing and with support and encouragement from her father and husband she was able to get her LNA license. She has worked in the surgical and pediatric ICU, and went back to school to become an RN. During her nursing career Katie has helped care for a lot of people, patients and her own family.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s
