“June’s history of protecting and advocating for others runs far and wide.” – Kristine Bickford 

June Heston currently sits on the Vermont Veterans Advisory Council, appointed by Governor Scott, as well as the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities in Burlington. She has served as the Executive Director for The Chill Foundation, Burton Snowboards non-profit that provides underserved youth, as well as the CEO of Make-A-Wish Vermont and Vermont Family Network. After the passing of her husband Brigadier General Michael Heston in 2018 due to burn pit exposure while deployed in Afghanistan by the Vermont Army National Guard, June worked tirelessly to raise awareness and was instrumental in establishing the PACT Act which expands VA Health Benefits for Veterans exposed to toxic chemicals. June is a hero to many and has made a tremendous impact.
