2025 marks 10 years since the tragic loss of local hero Brendon Cousino. His family established The Brendon P. Cousino Med47 Foundation to continue his good work. They are selling a swag bag to include a Med47 duck. Their hopes are many people will take and post pictures of their duck adventures. Learn more on Facebook.
Sunday, July 27th
The St. Albans Rotary Club is working for a healthier Franklin County with The Cardiac Champ Challenge, where participants form teams and paddle inflated rafts at Kill Kare State Park in St. Albans starting at 8am. Form a team, be a sponsor or show up and cheer. Monies raised will help create a Vermont Cardiology Cooperative at Northwestern Medical Center. Go to www.givebutter.com/cardiacchampchallenge.
St. John the Baptist Church, 222 Missisquoi Street in Enosburg Falls is having its annual Chicken Barbecue starting at 11am until its all gone. Dine in or take out. Price is $13 per meal.
St. Ann’s and Holy Angels churches are having a Blueberry Breakfast Buffet with pancakes, French toast, eggs, bacon and more from 8am to noon at Holy Angels Hall in Altona, New York.

Prior to the Lake Monsters game at Centennial Field in Burlington, “Take Me Out to the Job Fair” takes place at Delta Dental Diamond on the field with the Vermont Department of Labor from 5pm to game time. Bring your resume.
Saturday, August 2nd
Bloomingdale, New York is holding a Block Party from 11am to 8pm at 15 Roosevelt Lane. There will be carnival games, live music, a photo booth, a chicken barbecue and a scavenger hunt.
The Old Round Church, 25 Round Church Road in Richmond presents their concert series with the Twangtown Paramours at 7pm. The cost is $15 at the door.
Sunday, August 3rd
The annual Dragon Boat Festival and races take place on Burlington’s Waterfront starting at 8am. Cheer on the teams paddling Dragonboats to raise money to fight cancer and help those battling it. There is also entertainment and food available.
Rokeby Museum, Route 7 in Ferrisburgh is having its annual Pie and Ice Cream Social from noon to 3pm. This fundraiser welcomes all. Learn more at www.rokeby.org
