Stella Lefty is extending her stay at the top of country radio with her breakout single Boston. Billboard’s latest Country Airplay chart shows the song holding the No. 1 position for a second consecutive week.
During the Sept. 18-24 tracking period, Boston reached an audience of 29.5 million impressions. The second week at No. 1 also gives Lefty a notable distinction among female artists making their first appearance on the chart.
She becomes the first solo female artist since Gretchen Wilson in 2004 to see a debut Country Airplay single spend multiple weeks at No. 1. Boston initially reached the top after 22 weeks on the chart, giving Lefty her first career No. 1.
The latest chart also brings fresh activity from established country stars. Luke Bryan and Luke Combs enter with their collaboration Finders Keepers, while Kenny Chesney arrives with Remember Me That Way.
For Lefty, Boston continues to build on an already significant introduction to country radio, giving the rising artist another week at the format’s top spot.
