GETTING TO KNOW…WILD BILL SARGENT:

Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I’ve had both as pets… I’m a dog person… loyal, playful, willing to eat almost anything… yeah I’m a dog person.

What do you love most about living in the Champlain Valley?

The view. In the mountains, on the lake, I feel lucky every time a view takes my breath away

What’s your favorite thing to cook for other people?

Homemade Mac and Cheese. In my life I’ve made a lot of mac and cheese… have I mastered it? I better make another one, just to check.

What is something else (besides radio) that you’re good at?

I hope being a husband and dad and son and friend.

How would you describe the way you dance?

Like nobody is watching me… I gave up being embarrassed at my dancing a long time ago… it’s about having fun, so I have fun.

What’s your go-to karaoke jam?

The Devil Went Down to Georgia – The Charlie Daniels Band.

What’s your most embarrassing moment on the radio?

I was at a radio event in Nashville, where different artists come up for an interview every ten minutes or so… Patty Lovelace walks up, I introduced her as “Lee Ann Womack” and she said “No, you idiot, I’m Reba McEntire”… priceless.

Who is your favorite country artist of all time?

Tough question… I’ll go Tim McGraw for getting me into country in the first place.

What’s your favorite country song of all time?

My current favorite changes on a monthly basis… of all time? Gotta go, Shameless by Garth Brooks.

What’s your favorite thing about BIG Country 98.9 WOKO?

The team… None of us could do this by ourselves but together we’ve created a station that plays great music, takes care of our community and works great for our advertisers.
