Taylor Swift has extended her reign atop the Billboard Artist 100 chart to a record 84th week, riding on the explosive debut of the re-recorded LP 1989 (Taylor’s Version), nine additional albums on the Billboard 200, and 22 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

1989 (Taylor’s Version) opened atop the Billboard 200, earning Swift her 13th No. 1 on the list (a record for a female artist). The record logged 1.653 million equivalent album units in its opening weak (October 27-November 3), according to Luminate.

The tally was not only the largest one-week total of 2023, it’s also the biggest frame for any album since the debut of Adele’s 25 (3.482 million; Nov. 15, 2015).
