Tammy Carroll

Tammy Carroll

Congratulations to today’s winner, Tammy Carroll, one of our Outstanding Women of 2023!

Nominated by: Susan Faryniarz

“Tammy created a nonprofit organization Big Beautiful Life. Their purpose is to spread joy to children in medical crises. She is inspiring many and I’m in awe!” – Susan Faryniarz

Tammy Carroll lost her daughter Addi at age 12 after a long medical battle. Addi had an indomitable spirit and relentlessly lived a Big Beautiful Life filled with joy. This inspired Tammy to start Big Beautiful Life, an organization that spreads joy to children in medical crises and provides support to their families and caretakers while navigating difficult times. Addi was passionate about the Essex Fire Department where she was a beloved member and loved being near “her firefighters.” Big Beautiful Life has raised awareness and funds for Essex Fire and Angel Flight Northeast, created joy kits and provided books written by Addi for kids going through their own medical challenges and they have so much more they want to do to spread the joy of Addi and her Big Beautiful Life!
